Fourth of July Parade Cancelled

The overnight rain that will continue through this morning has caused the Cartersville Optimist Club, WBHf, Metro Kia Fourth of July Parade in downtown Cartersville to be cancelled. While this morning's forecast is bad, it is expected to clear out around 11:00 AM  for the day long festivities and night time fireworks at Dellinger Park. [read more...]

Bartow County and Cartersville City Schools Closed Wednesday

Classes for Bartow County Schools and Cartersville City Schools have been canceled for Wednesday. The City School System's 230 and 240 day employees are to report at their regular time or when they can safely get to work. No Bartow County Schools teachers need to report.

Delayed Openings for Museums and Colleges

The Bartow History Museum, Booth Western Art Museum, Tellus, Grand Theatre, The Resource Center, Anverse and Reicon Management will delay opening until 11 am today. Georgia Highlands College (ALL CAMPUSES) will delay opening on Tuesday, February 17 until 11am due to a threat of black ice on the roadways.
