Bartow County Administrator, Peter Olson, was a guest on this morning's edition of Bartow's Morning News to discuss the county's millage rate announcement. Since the tax digest grew, the county will take in additional revenue even though the the millage rate will remain the same. State law requires this be advertised as a tax increase. [read more...]

High School Sports: Coin Toss for Homefield in Semi-Final Round of Playoffs Goes Canes’ Way

Tigers Bounce Back

The Adairsville Tigers kept their slim playoff hopes alive on Friday night with a 34-6 win over Murray County. Mason Boswell, Landon Ayers and Malichi Gardner led the team to the victory. Cass Falls to Kell

The Cass Colonels fell to the Kell Longhorns 56-3 on Friday night. Cass kicked a field goal by Kaleb Speights to grab an early 3-0 lead and trailed just 7-3 at the end of the first quarter. High School Baseball Games Moved to Friday

Both Adairsville and Cartersville have rescheduled their first round baseball playoff games from today to Friday because of rain. Both teams will host doubleheaders on Friday afternoon with first pitches slated for 4:00 p.m. WBHF will be broadcasting Cartersville's match up versus Pickens and providing updates from Adairsville.
