Joe Harris has submitted his resignation as President and CEO of the Cartersville Bartow County Chamber of Commerce effective May 1st, 2015. Terms of the separation have been mutually agreed upon and were approved by the Board of Directors at the April Board of Directors meeting that was held this morning.
Joe expressed his desire to pursue other opportunities and did not feel it was appropriate to do so given the public nature of his current position.
Joe has been an incredible asset not only to the Chamber but to the community as a whole. We have a strong and relevant chamber that has become an essential community partner in all aspects of the community due in large part to Joe and his efforts in this position.
We wish Joe all the best in his future endeavors and know that he will continue to be a great servant to all of Bartow County.
The Chamber will begin the process of identifying a new President and CEO in the coming days, weeks and months ahead. During that time the Chamber will remain committed to providing our membership and the community with the same level of service expected from our organization.
