The University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government is hosting a free workshop on Electric Mobility for local governments and communities at the Savoy Automobile Museum in Cartersville on June 12th. This event aims to provide valuable insights into electric mobility opportunities and challenges that Georgia communities face.

Local government officials and community leaders are encouraged to attend to connect with regional peers, exchange ideas, and take actionable steps toward shaping the future of transportation in Georgia.

During the workshop, attendees will receive updates on the state’s latest market trends and opportunities for electric mobility. They will also gain practical insights into EV infrastructure and grid readiness, learn about the role of charging companies in planning and implementing infrastructure, share their community’s challenges and priorities, and explore real-world solutions for advancing electric mobility at the local level. Additionally, attendees will be able to provide feedback that will help the Institute of Government plan future research and training resources to meet local needs better.
