Bartow County deputies pulled over a red 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe at a location on Euharlee Road in Cartersville early Saturday morning for a possible intoxicated driver.
After arresting 39-year-old Cynthia White of Euharlee for multiple charges including driving under the influence of alcohol, a deputy noticed she had a key fob for a Jeep product.
Dispatch informed deputies that the vehicle Cynthia was driving had just been reported stolen from Tom’s Place on Old Mill Place in Cartersville.
The deputy asked Cynthia the color and type of vehicle she drove and she stated a red 2017 Jeep Cherokee. When informed she had been driving the Santa Fe, she stated that couldn’t be possible because she had the key fob. A deputy informed her there was already a set of keys in the ignition and the Santa Fe was still running.
The owner of the Santa Fe stated that she had started the SUV to warm it up before leaving and it got stolen.
Cynthia White was also charged with felony theft by taking a motor vehicle.
