In Cartersville on Sunday, August 3rd, police arrested 29-year-old Hilda Antonia Lux Mateo on Townsley Drive following a stabbing incident and a cooking pan incident on separate occasions involving the same victim.
The first incident happened on July 10th, when the victim, residing with Lux Mateo on Martin Luther King Junior Drive, reported a heated argument in their kitchen. During the altercation, Lux Mateo allegedly grabbed three kitchen knives, slicing the tip of the victim’s left ring finger and stabbing him in the stomach. The victim described the fear he felt as he lay bleeding on the floor, claiming that Lux Mateo fled the scene after realizing the severity of the situation.
Additionally, the victim stated that Lux Mateo had previously attacked him a month prior, stabbing him in the wrist.
In a more recent confrontation on Sunday, while searching for accommodation for Lux Mateo at a home on Mockingbird Drive, she reportedly became upset after seeing the victim’s ex-girlfriend calling his phone. The situation escalated quickly; Lux Mateo allegedly bit the victim multiple times on both arms and struck him with a cooking pan on his head and shoulder.
As a result of these incidents, Hilda Lux Mateo now faces charges of aggravated assault for the July stabbing and battery for the attack this past Sunday.
