On Tuesday morning March 26th at around 6:15, Bartow County deputies and EMS responded to 91 Somerset Club Drive in reference to a vehicle crashing into a building and shots being fired. Upon arrival, a deputy observed a silver 2003 Ford Explorer with a Mississippi license plate that had crashed into an exit gate.

The victim, 31-year-old Corey Martise Ollie, was located in front of the 700 building with an apparent gunshot wound to the hip. The area was secured and EMS transported Ollie for treatment.

One of two witnesses in the Explorer advised that Ollie got out of the Explorer to go back into an apartment after forgetting some money. The witness stated she heard a gunshot and Ollie fell back into the Explorer advising he was shot. Ollie began to drive away as they continued to get shot at.

In the attempt to get away, Ollie crashed into a silver 2003 Ford Focus. The suspects started chasing the Explorer. Ollie was traveling too fast and crashed into a brick wall at the exit gate of the apartment complex, damaging the wall and gate.

There has been no further information released on the description or getaway of the suspects.

It was later observed that a maroon 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer had a bullet hole from the rounds being shot by the suspects.
