First responders were called to a four-vehicle accident with two injuries on Burnt Hickory Road just north of Sugar Valley Road in Cartersville on Thursday night at around 7:18.
A 19-year-old man was entrapped in one of the vehicles with an altered level of consciousness and lower leg trauma. Bartow County EMS began treatment of the patient while he was being extricated from the vehicle. He was flown to Atlanta Medical Center.
The second patient was a female who was transported to Cartersville Medical Center for treatment of chest pain.
Also, Bartow County EMS responded to an all-terrain vehicle accident on State Route 140 near Landers Road in Rydal on Thursday afternoon.
A male was riding the ATV when it flipped. EMS found the male to have a possible fracture to a lower leg. He was transported to Cartersville Medical Center for treatment.
