FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, an unoccupied vehicle was observed trapped in mud at the entrance to Martin’s Auto Salvage located on Highway 411 near the Bartow/Floyd County line on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. It was discovered that numerous vehicles within the scrap yard had been entered and had parts removed. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the occupants of the abandoned vehicle.
Ronald Keith Angel, 30, of Taylorsville; Joshua Wayne Watson, 28, of Rockmart; and Lagrissa Marlene Miller, 22, of Rockmart were all three charged with burglary in connection with this incident. Working with those involved and evidence recovered in this case has led investigators to charge these subjects for their involvement in burglarizing and stealing from the salvage yard on several different occasions.
Sheriff Millsap says that this investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.
