Multiple law enforcement agencies arrested two people after an armed robbery at Citgo on the corner of West Avenue and Old Mill Place in Cartersville early Thursday morning.
At the time of the incident, arriving officers determined that a black male, wearing a mask, gloves, and hoodie, produced a handgun, demanded money, and fled in a light-colored passenger car.
Cartersville investigators tracked the vehicle used in the robbery to an apartment complex in Dallas later in the morning. With the assistance of the Dallas Police Department, they arrested 24-year-old Mabery Ron Wilmore of Cartersville while he was leaving the apartment complex.
Investigators learned that 43-year-old Tyrane Roshaun Hudson accompanied Wilmore during the robbery. Cartersville investigators and Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force agents subsequently apprehended Hudson at his residence on Sharp Way near Cartersville.
Cartersville Police charged Mabry Willmore with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and Tyrane Hudson with armed robbery and trafficking in fentanyl and methamphetamine. Both subjects were lodged at the Bartow County Jail, pending a bond hearing.
The Cartersville Police Department wishes to thank the Dallas Police Department for their quick response and assistance.
