Shaw Industries Group has announced plans to shift a portion of the commercial broadloom manufacturing operations currently taking place at Plant 12 in Cartersville to other nearby Shaw commercial manufacturing facilities.

Equipment will move to other Shaw facilities – including expanding and enhancing operations at Plant 13 (also in Cartersville). The transition will take place by the beginning of 2021. Affected associates will be transferred to other commercial manufacturing locations in Cartersville where possible or allowed to fill open positions throughout the company. Approximately 200 jobs may be impacted, with transitions taking place over the next five months.

Shaw Plant 12 is at 790 Joe Frank Harris Parkway. This site will continue to operate critical processes that service its commercial business.

Shaw is the world’s largest carpet manufacturer, North America’s largest tile manufacturer, and is the largest employer in northwest Georgia. Over the past five years, Shaw has invested more than $1.5 billion in its people, processes, and products throughout the United States.
