A person was seriously hurt in an accident in Bartow County early Friday morning.
Georgia State Troopers responded to a crash on I-75 southbound just past the Allatoona Gateway exit near Acworth that shut down all lanes, causing a traffic backup to almost the Main Street exit in Cartersville.
They discovered that a parked tractor-trailer was in the emergency lane with its flashers on when a Penske Box truck failed to maintain its lane and struck the rear of the tractor-trailer.
This accident led to a life flight transporting the female passenger of the Penske truck to a medical facility.
