A one-year-old Tennessee girl reported missing has been found safe in Bartow County.
Authorities located Lilly Hill during a traffic stop in Bartow County on Wednesday evening after a license plate reader alerted deputies to the vehicle linked to the case. Deputies took the child into protective custody and arrested her non-custodial mother.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee says 35-year-old Kasey Lynn Hill-Bean and the toddler were expected at the Franklin County Judicial Center in Winchester around 10 a.m. Wednesday. They fled the area. At the time of the AMBER Alert, Hill no longer held legal custody of her daughter. However, she had physical custody that morning.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the AMBER Alert for Lilly, last seen in Winchester.
A multi-agency effort involving the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, TBI, FBI, and Georgia law enforcement tracked the vehicle across state lines. Sergeant Sam Davidson of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office credited license plate readers, rapid information-sharing, and public cooperation for the quick resolution. Deputies stopped the vehicle just before 6 p.m. and found Lilly safe.
Hill faces charges of aggravated kidnapping, child endangerment, and felony evading. She is being held in the Bartow County Jail on a fugitive-from-justice charge.
Officials emphasize that swift action and technology enabled the safe recovery of the child.
