One person was killed in a single-vehicle accident in the vicinity of 600 Adairsville Pleasant Valley Road this afternoon.
A blue Ford Expedition traveling east tried to negotiate a curve towards the right.
The driver failed to maintain their lane and traveled onto the right shoulder, striking a fire hydrant and a tree before overturning down an embankment.
The accident entrapped three people.
The rear passenger, 51-year-old Ricky Lee Craig of Adairsville, was ejected and suffered fatal injuries.
