A fatal accident on U.S. 411 brought traffic to a standstill on Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 5:21 p.m., a black Hyundai Veloster traveled west on U.S. 411 in the left lane at high speed approaching Macedonia Road. The driver of a vehicle ahead observed the Hyundai coming at a high rate of speed. The driver of that vehicle started to change lanes to allow the Hyundai to pass. The Hyundai’s driver, 30-year-old Jeremy Dakota Moon of Gadsden, Alabama, sideswiped that vehicle with the left side of the Hyundai. After impact, Moon lost control of the Hyundai, and it began to overturn several times. Moon suffered fatal injuries.
