Elite Stone Supply, WBHF Radio, and Bartow Sports Zone honor the October 2026 Elite Athletes of the Month. Local high schools select one varsity athlete each month for recognition.
Jake Barszcz, senior linebacker on Adairsville’s football team, earns the honor. Through nine games, he has 64 tackles, eight tackles for loss, including six sacks, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery. He has also contributed on offense and special teams.
Clayton McArdle of Woodland is a senior three-sport athlete who plays football and basketball and competes in track and field. He leads the Wildcats football team in receptions and return yards and carries a 3.5 GPA.
McKenzie Wilkie has started four years as Cartersville volleyball’s libero. She holds the school career records for aces and digs and helped the Lady Canes reach three straight Final Fours. A three-time All-State selection, she has committed to Coastal Carolina.
Shyia Woods, sophomore shortstop for the Cass softball team, hit .398, posted a perfect fielding percentage, and batted .542 during the team’s playoff run.
Each athlete receives a plaque.
