A couple was shot at while traveling north on State Route 61 in Cartersville Tuesday night.
They had been following a gray mid-size passenger car that was missing its rear bumper when the car started to turn left onto Highland Circle. The car stopped with the vehicle halfway on State Route 61 when the passenger held out his arm and flicked them off. When the couple drove by, the passenger shot at them twice. Nothing was hit.
The passenger had tattoos all the way down his right arm. The license plate on their car was from another county.
