A motorcyclist was burnt beyond recognition in a fatal accident on U.S. 411 at Funkhouse Road north of Rydal this morning.
The findings of a preliminary Georgia State Patrol investigation revealed that a yellow motorcycle was traveling south on 411 in the left lane. A blue commercial vehicle was traveling north on 411 in the left turning lane, attempting to turn left onto Funkhouser Road.
The motorcycle struck the rear of the trailer, which the commercial vehicle was pulling.
A GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the investigation.
The deceased individual will go to a Georgia Bureau of Investigation lab, and they may need assistance from the public to help identify the person.
