The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting death of a local man.
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, deputies and emergency first responders were sent to 4820 Ryan Road in Acworth at around five o’clock Tuesday afternoon. Deputies arrived to find 17-year-old Kyle Sheriff of Acworth in the home with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead from his injury.
Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Investigators responded to the scene and continue to investigate the incident. An autopsy is planned by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Medical Examiner’s Office later this week. No charges have been filed at this time.
