Dispatch sent Bartow County deputies to I-75 southbound at around 12:44 Saturday afternoon to a shooting near Glade Road exit 278.

Deputies found the victim parked in a white Ford Ranger on the shoulder near State Route 92 exit 277. The truck had an apparent bullet hole in the driver-side rear door, with the victim having a graze wound on his left leg.

The victim stated that he was traveling southbound on I-75 near Glade Road in the middle lane. A silver newer model Hyundai four-door passenger car reportedly passed him erratically in the right lane. A black male in the passenger seat of the Hyundai allegedly brandished what appeared to be a black handgun. Once the victim realized that the suspect had possibly shot him in the leg, he pulled off onto the shoulder of I-75 near the State Route 92 exit ramp and called 911.

The victim described the suspected shooter as a black male wearing a black hoodie style sweatshirt and had short black hair. He stated the male appeared to be between 20 and 30 years old.

The victim described the Hyundai’s driver as a white female in unknown clothing with long black hair. He stated the female appeared to be between 20 and 30 years old.

Metro EMS treated the victim’s injury on the scene, and he declined hospital transport.

The BCSO put out an all-points bulletin to the surrounding counties for the Hyundai.
