The American Legion Carl Boyd Post 42 on Martin Luther King Junior Drive and Roosevelt Street in Cartersville will send a relief truck to North Carolina to support the victims of Hurricane Helene. They will give all donations to the locals on the ground who have been on site since the beginning.
They have met the need for water, so it is not on the list below.
An additional need is fuel, either donations to purchase fuel or fuel gift cards. They plan to take several empty diesel and gas tanks and fill them as they get closer to the drop-off point. This donation would also cover the fuel for the vehicles pulling the supplies up.
The donation drop-off point is the old fair building at The American Legion.
They also take cash donations if you can’t shop or drop items off.
