The Georgia High School Association released the new region alignments for 2015-2017 reclassification. Cass and Woodland will remain in Class 5A-Region 7. However, they will not be in a sub-region. The Colonels and Wildcats are joined by Carrollton, East Paulding, Hiram, Kell, Paulding County, Rome, and Villa Rica. That is a total of nine schools.
Cartersville will remain in Class 4A and move to Region 5. Joining the Purple Hurricanes will be Cedartown, Central (Carroll), Chapel Hill, LaGrange, Sandy Creek, and Troup. That is a seven team region.
Adairsville will remain in Class 3A-Region 6. The Tigers will be accompanied by Bremen, Calhoun, Coahulla Creek, Haralson County, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, Murray County, North Murray, Ringgold, and Sonoraville. Ten teams will compete in that region.
