A Cartersville man has been arrested for several charges relating to a 2014 forgery and theft investigation.
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, Investigators from the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Terrance Michael White, 18, of Cartersville for one count forgery in the fourth degree and three counts of financial transaction card fraud on Thursday. Sheriff Millsap said that the case began in October 2014 when the local victim noticed a check for 200 dollars had been cashed from her account without her knowledge. She then discovered several unauthorized charges on her credit card.
Investigators then discovered that White had allegedly taken a check from his mother’s residence and provided the stolen check to a third party to cash without their knowledge it was stolen. White then used his mother’s credit card to make unauthorized purchases in October and November. White was arrested on these charges and booked into the Bartow County Jail. He has since been released on an $8,500 bond and is awaiting a court date to be set in Bartow County Superior Court.
