The National Weather Service issued a flood watch throughout Georgia, including Bartow County, until 7:00 tonight.
Excessive runoff may flood rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Areas of heavy rainfall will slowly move across portions of the region this afternoon. Additional rainfall totals one to two inches with locally higher amounts may occur on top of already saturated grounds. Localized flash flooding and quick rises on creeks and streams could happen.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
