Firehouse Subs on East Main Street in Cartersville held a dedication event this afternoon for the donation of $48,008-worth of life saving equipment to the Bartow County and Cartersville Fire Departments.
The donation came from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which receives more than 70% of its funds from restaurant patrons who donate their spare change after purchases.
Bartow County received three self-contained breathing apparatus and accessories. Cartersville received two swift water rescue boats and accessories.
