Cartersville Police responded to Victory Fuels at 118 North Tennessee Street on Friday, at approximately 11:11 p.m., to what turned out to be a fatal shooting.

The complainant reported that 65-year-old Jimmy Lee Morgan made threatening remarks and gestures toward him near the parking lot, so he drove away.

About 18 seconds after that call, 25-year-old Alleya Noel Henry of Emerson called 911, stating that she had shot someone. She said that Morgan ran to her black Ford Taurus, and as he approached, she told him to stop. He then reportedly went inside her window, at which point she shot him.

Officers reportedly found Morgan lying on his back and shot in the mouth with no pulse next to a blue 2015 Jeep Patriot. Henry’s right shoe was purportedly to the left of where Morgan’s body lay, just underneath the SUV.

An officer reportedly found a 9mm shell casing on the driver’s seat and another one near the center console of the Taurus, along with a black semi-automatic handgun on the passenger seat. The officer stated there was not any blood inside the Taurus.

The officer took Henry to the police department for questioning, where they subsequently charged her with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony before turning her over to the Bartow County Jail.
