Georgia State Patrol troopers from Post 3 Cartersville responded to a fatal three-vehicle crash on I-75 northbound at Cassville-White Rd at 6:19 Wednesday morning.
A red Dodge Ram, a white Honda Accord, and a white Freightliner were all traveling north when traffic slowed.
The Dodge Ram struck the Honda Accord in the rear, which caused the Honda Accord to hit the Freightliner truck.
The driver of the Honda Accord, 54-year-old Mr. Angel E. Lucas-Cedeno from Cartersville, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
There were three other non-life-threatening injuries to passengers in the Dodge Ram.
The final crash report is not yet available.
The Georgia State Patrol Troop A Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is also investigating.
The accident closed all lanes for about two hours.
