Euharlee Police have arrested a 19-year-old Bartow County man after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home through a window early Sunday morning, assaulted her, and made terroristic threats.
Officers arrested Victor Alexis Clemente for burglary, second-degree criminal damage to property, aggravated assault by strangulation, battery, and terroristic threats and acts.
The incident occurred around 3:17 a.m. on May 10th at a residence on Dobson Drive in Euharlee. Police say Clemente entered the home through a window after his ex-girlfriend, an 18-year-old woman, returned from a wedding. According to the police report and the victim’s statement, Clemente became jealous after learning she had danced with another man. He demanded to see her phone, refused to leave when asked, and began pushing and assaulting her.
The victim told police that Clemente held her down by the throat multiple times, punched her arms, slapped her face, and slammed her head into the car door during a later confrontation in his vehicle. She also reported that he threw her phone, personal items, and a bag out the window. The victim described how Clemente threatened her with a gun, saying he would kill himself or her if she did not get back together with him. He took her phone and drove off briefly before releasing her.
Officers responded quickly. They located Clemente’s white 2022 Toyota Tundra eastbound on Euharlee Road and initiated a traffic stop at Mission Ridge Drive. Officers detained Clemente at the scene. The victim showed visible redness around her neck and bruising on her arms, and she reported a broken gold-colored link chain necklace valued at approximately $1,500.
Clemente admitted to officers that shoving and hitting occurred during the argument. Police transported him to the Bartow County Jail.
