Brandy Ann Boyd and Austin Levi Payne pled not guilty during their arraignment hearing on Tuesday morning to criminal action concerning the death of one-year-old Journey Ann Cowart.
Cowart died on January 21st with a fractured skull and blunt force trauma to the stomach. In September, Boyd and Payne were indicted on malice murder, felony murder, cruelty to children in the first degree, aggravated battery, and battery.
