The search for a missing seven-year-old girl from East Point may be connected to the body found in Lake Allatoona Wednesday. Her father and his live-in girlfriend reported Kamaire Wash missing this morning.
Police are questioning them. They told police they last saw her last night at around nine o’clock when they put her to bed. When they got up at eight this morning, the door was open and she was gone. Police has not found any evidence of foul play at the residence.
A Bartow County investigator showed up to talk to East Point police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation about the case. The case is being investigated as a homicide. It has not been officially confirmed whether the body found in Lake Allatoona is Kamaire Wash.
