Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-75 northbound in Bartow County early this morning.
The crash happened at 4:26 a.m. near mile marker 300. Investigators say a maroon commercial motor vehicle, traveling in the left lane, changed lanes into the middle lane and struck a white commercial motor vehicle from behind.
After the impact, the maroon CMV hit the guardrail on the left shoulder before coming to rest in the left northbound lane. The white CMV pulled safely onto the right shoulder.
Debris from the collision forced crews to shut down all northbound lanes of I-75. The highway remained closed for more than two-and-a-half hours before all lanes reopened at 7:04 a.m.
The driver of the white CMV suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at a local hospital. Troopers have not released information on the other driver’s condition.
