There was a convoy of around 100 motorcycles that had just left Harley-Davison Motorcycles on US-411 for the Bikers Against Child Abuse ride that was supposed to cover 100 miles. As the convey was passing by, two motorcycles (that were not part of the convoy) tried to join them out of the Texaco just north of I-75. This caused someone to hit their breaks and swerve, causing the chain reaction accident.
