Adairsville home destroyed by fire

Bartow County Fire crews spent more than two hours battling a fire in Adairsville Friday.  According to reports, crews responded to 308 Pleasant Valley Road around 2 p.m. and remained on scene until 4:30.  Upon arrival, crews found the two-story wooden structure fully involved.  The fire spread from the home into a wooded area endangering an adjacent [read more...]

Bartow Board of Education issues survey to aid in search for new superintendent

BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. (January 11, 2018) – The Bartow County Board of Education is one step closer to finding its next superintendent. The newly hired search firm, King-Cooper and Associates, recently accepted multiple applications ahead of the January 29 deadline. Adairsville Police arrest several Gordon County residents on numerous drug charges.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 01/11/2018 On January 11, 2018 at approximately 03:40 a.m. an officer with the Adairsville Police Department observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of the QT on Hwy 140.  The officer ran a license check on the tag and learned the vehicle, a 2012 Nissan Altima, did not have valid insurance coverage.  [read more...]

Body found Wednesday behind Beavers Drive Senior Center been transported to the GBI crime lab

More details on a fatal crash that occurred in Bartow Tuesday morning.
