Bartow County Career Academy’s Law Enforcement Program Instructor Don Moody chose the Cartersville Police Department to receive a donated protective gear package from HighCom Armor.

HighCom Armor is a global provider of body armor and personal protective equipment.

The Officer Down Memorial Page (or ODMP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring America’s fallen law enforcement officers.

The ODMP partnered with HighCom Armor for a month-long campaign this past October. Every donation collected supported ODMP’s mission and gave donors a chance to win much-needed protective gear, valued at over $8,000, for a law enforcement agency of their choice.

The winning donor was Don Moody, who chose Cartersville PD. Moody teaches the students patrol, CSI, tactical team, and EMS training in the College and Career Academy. Over 30 of his former students are currently serving their communities in public safety roles. Moody’s program relies heavily on local law enforcement partners, which is why he chose the Cartersville Police Department as the recipient of the protective gear.
