A Cartersville man died Wednesday night after a multi-vehicle crash on Knox Bridge Highway near Canton, according to the Cherokee Tribune.
Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 8:01 p.m. to the scene just west of Scott Hudgens Drive. A preliminary investigation shows a Dodge Charger driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, struck a Kia Optima, and then hit a Chevrolet Blazer.
Authorities identified the Charger’s driver as 29-year-old Bailey Eddy of Cartersville. Officials pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Kia Optima’s driver sustained minor injuries. The Chevrolet Blazer’s driver was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash.
