The Cartersville Downtown Development Authority and Main Street Program held their annual meeting at Cartersville Artisan Studio on East Main Street Tuesday.

Downtown Development Manager Lillie Read spoke about some of the previous year’s accomplishments as well as this year’s coming attractions.


There were a number of honorees last night. Bartow Master Gardeners were handed a certificate of appreciation. The Good Government Award went the the public works department. Love June Boutique received a grant award. DDA board outreach chair Maureen Kirkland received the Chairman’s Award. Last but not least, for all of his years of restoration efforts and good works in downtown, John Lewis received the Downtown Champion Award and a standing ovation.
