Capacity Sports Group announced today that it is expanding its multisport operations at LakePoint Sports in Emerson.
The youth sports company now owns the 78-acre property, which includes Baseball Village and Publix Fields. It also holds a lease to operate the Champions Center Indoor Pavilion.
Prep Baseball, part of Capacity Sports Group, has run tournaments at LakePoint since 2019. Those events include the National Program Invitational, National Championships, and Future Games.
LakePoint Sports draws athletes and families from across the country and welcomes millions of guests each year. The complex features three main venues: the Baseball Village with eight major-league-sized synthetic turf fields; the 170,000-square-foot Champions Center, which can hold 12 basketball courts or 24 volleyball courts; and Publix Fields, with three multiuse turf fields for soccer, lacrosse, and football.
Capacity Sports Group CEO Ken Kocher said the expansion builds on the company’s baseball success and creates opportunities to grow programming across more sports.
Company President Blake Hibler noted that athletes and coaches already know LakePoint for competition, while families remember the overall experience. He said bringing the facilities and programming closer together will help build on that foundation.
Capacity Sports Group formed in January 2026 through the merger of Prep Baseball and Bullpen Ventures. The company focuses on baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, and flag football. Since its launch, it has added several other sports operators.
