On the morning of Tuesday, April 7th at approximately 6:45, Bartow County Sheriff’s Office deputies and criminal investigators were dispatched to Woodwright Industries between 1595 Highway 411 NE and 11 Johnson Lane NE in Cartersville in reference to the shooting death of 36-year-old Robert Ashley Carr of White. Carr was found unresponsive and lying in the parking area. It was later determined to be a homicide.
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, criminal investigators have arrested and charged 34-year-old Stephanie Fawn Gardner of Cartersville and 24-year-old Elizabeth Morgan Kelley of Acworth with party to the crime of felony murder. Both Gardner and Kelley are being held in the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center without bond.
Investigators have issued additional arrest warrants for another individual involved in the investigation. Further information about this individual will be released upon arrest.
