Demarcus Crumbley

An arrest was made on Thursday in reference to an armed robbery that occurred in Bartow County last December.

On December 27th, Cartersville Police officers responded to Sunoco at 2741 Highway 411 near White on a report of an armed robbery and shooting that occurred. During the robbery one suspect was shot and killed by the store clerk. Through the course of the investigation, Demarcus Demond Crumbley was identified as a suspect. Warrants for Crumbley’s arrest were secured.

On Thursday, Crumbley was located in DeKalb County by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Squad. Crumbley was arrested and charged with armed robbery and felony murder.

Cartersville Chief of Police Frank McCann would like to thank the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Squad and the DeKalb Police Department Gang Unit for their assistance in this investigation.

The investigation is still on-going and future charges and arrests are pending.
