Two masked men carrying black semi-automatic handguns robbed a man on the side of Cartersville Highway northbound at Brown Farm Road on Sunday night.

The victim closed a store in Rockmart and was driving to the owner’s house with around $4,100 to $4,200 in lottery cash. The victim slowed as a vehicle was making a left turn onto Brown Farm Road when a black four-door Honda sedan lightly bumped him from behind.

Upon pulling off the road to speak with the driver who hit him, that’s when the two men approached him with their guns. The only suspect that spoke was described as having a Hispanic voice. He ordered the victim to put his hands on his head and give them the money.

After offering his wallet, the suspect said they knew he had just left the store and had a cash drop on him. The victim then gave them the lottery money.

The suspects patted him down, briefly rifled through his car, and left quickly in their black Honda towards Polk County.

The victim was not physically harmed.
