The American Legion Carl Boyd Post 42 in Cartersville hosted its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Monday morning.

The guest speaker was retired U.S. Army Major and psychologist Dr. Bob Poston, who served 19 years in the Army beginning in 1959. He served two combat tours in Vietnam and earned two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart.

Poston is a lifelong resident of Cartersville and President of Vet to Vet. This organization assists veterans suffering from PTSD and other service-related issues.

We’ll have the story on our newscasts on Tuesday.

Poston has helped thousands of Veterans file VA claims and wants any veteran or anyone who knows a Veteran who hasn’t gotten their full benefits from the government to contact him: https://vet-to-vet-of-georgia.square.site/.
