Cartersville Police arrested three people last week in connection to an alleged armed robbery in the parking area of the Mountain Chase townhomes off North Tennessee Street on February 8th.

The complainant said he had been communicating via Snapchat messages with an old high school classmate about purchasing Air Jordan sneakers from him.

The alleged victim says the classmate, JT, chose to meet near the entrance of the townhomes for the transaction.

When the complainant arrived, he messaged JT that he was in his vehicle. Shortly after, a newer model gray Kia sedan arrived. The passenger window rolled down, and JT was reportedly in the passenger seat, telling him to leave his vehicle and approach his Kia.

He said he handed JT $500, and JT opened a backpack, pulled out a gun, and pointed it at him, telling him to go away and the driver to drive. The Kia sped off.

The three people arrested for the crime and charged with armed robbery were Cartersville residents 19-year-old Jaden Tyree Truesdale, 20-year-old Jordyn Breanne Wilkins, and 20-year-old Torion Lamon Cooley. Truesdale also received charges for theft by taking and possessing a weapon while committing certain crimes.
