The Georgia State Patrol has released the name of the woman who died in Friday’s accident on Highway 41.  Seventy eight year old June Butler of Adairsville died in the crash.  According to  GSP reports, the two-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m.  Troopers say that a black Honda Accord failed to yield while turning left. A Tempo travelling in the other lane struck the right side of the Accord with its front. The Tempo’s passenger, 78 year old June Butler died of injuries shortly after the crash. The driver of the Tempo, Anthony Upton, age 52 of Cartersville, was transported to Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Accord, Sharon Bryson, age 52 of Cartersville, was transported to Cartersville Medical Center with minor injuries. The Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is conducting a follow-up investigation. Charges are pending.
