Qualifying for the March 16th Special Election ended today at noon in the City of White. Only one candidate, Curtis “Kirk” Powell, qualified for the open council position vacated by councilmember Tina Wilhite’s passing.
The Elections Superintendent will submit a resolution at the Feb 1st council meeting to call off the special election. At the meeting on April 5th Powell will be sworn in as the City of White’s newest councilmember.
