THE GEORGIA STATE PATROL IS WORKING AN ACCIDENT AT WEST AVENUE AND LEE STREET. ACCORDING TO PRELIMINARY REPORTS, A CARTERSVILLE PATROL CAR WAS RESPONDING TO A DISTURBANCE AT CVS NEAR WEST AVENUE. THE PATROL CAR STRUCK A CAR ON LEE STREET WITH TWO PASSENGERS. THE OFFICER, A GRANDMOTHER AND HER FOUR YEAR OLD GRAND CHILD WERE ALL TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL.
IN A SEPARATE ACCIDENT, EUHARLEE POLICE CHIEF TERRY HARGET WAS STRUCK BY A VEHICLE WHILE DIRECTING TRAFFIC ON EUHARLEE ROAD AT EUHARLEE MIDDLE SCHOOL. HE WAS ALSO TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. BOTH ACCIDENTS ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION.
