Warming Shelters

The State of Georgia is preparing for sub-freezing temperatures to move through toward the end of the week. To assist homeowners who may lose power and stranded motorists, Georgia State Parks are opening warming stations for public use. The Red Top Warming Station will be located at Group Shelter #1 & #2. These shelters have restrooms but no food or bedding. ParkPass fees will be waived for those using warming stations. To find a full list of warming stations and their availability, please refer to the map and spreadsheet below.

***Warming Shelter Update from Bartow Fire and Emergency Services***
The warming shelter scheduled to be located at Tabernacle Church has been relocated to Forever Blessed Church (behind LOWE’S) at 51 Maple Ridge Drive, Cartersville. It will be open from 9 p.m. Thursday until 8 a.m. Monday. The contact information is still the same as before.
