A suspect involved in an armed robbery near White was mortally wounded on Tuesday morning.
Three black males wearing dark clothing and masks conducted an armed robbery in the food mart at Sunoco on 2471 Highway 411. During the course of the robbery, 24-year-old suspect Ronald Deonte Johnson of Decatur was killed after an exchange of gunfire with the night store manager. The remaining two suspects fled the location in a dark late model SUV bearing a Georgia temporary registration tag.
The Cartersville Police Department does not have any further information on the other suspects at this time. Investigators are continuing to work the case.
