Two local residents volunteer with the Red Cross to help Texas flood victims

Two two more local volunteers are deploying from Northwest Georgia to Texas to assist in the aftermath of the flooding that occurred over the last month.  They have committed to a 3 week deployment.  After weeks of relentless severe weather, the American Red Cross continues to provide comfort and hope to thousands of Texans as they begin to recover. About 8,000 homes are affected and the Red Cross will be on the ground helping every step of the way.

John Watkins, Cartersville, GA (Bartow Co)  This is John’s second deployment outside of Georgia this year.  He is deploying to the Houston area to serve.

 Kelly Anderson, Acworth, GA (Bartow Co)  This is Kelly’s first deployment as a Red Cross volunteer.  She is deploying to the Austin area to serve.
