Two men were arrested and one is still on the loose after the BCSO was dispatched to an apartment on Falcon Circle in Cartersville Thursday morning in reference to a man outside with a gun who was trying to break inside.

That man was identified as Jesse Reyes of Cartersville and he is the one that got away into the woods. He now has outstanding warrants for aggravated assault, theft by receiving stolen property (for having a stolen gun), possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and 1st degree burglary.

Jesse Reyes is a 26-year-old Latin male who is five foot six and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has been known to be affiliated with the Southside Gang and may have become affiliated with Gangster Disciples during his last stint in prison.

Jose Garcia of Cartersville was arrested at the scene. WBHF reported yesterday on his charges of possession of a firearm while trying to commit crimes, party to aggravated assault, burglary, and theft by receiving a stolen firearm.

The BCSO arrested the alleged third person involved in the crime, Juan Nava of Cartersville, during a traffic stop in the area of Porter Street and Tennessee Street almost a half hour later. Nava has been charged with multiple crimes including party to a crime of the following charges: theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm while trying to commit crimes, aggravated assault, and burglary.
