The Adairsville Tigers improved to 3-1 on the season with a decisive 44-14 win over the Woodland Wildcats (1-2) Friday night.

Adairsville wasted no time asserting dominance, as Westin Crisp returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, putting the Tigers ahead 7-0 within seconds. Woodland struggled to respond, and Adairsville capitalized on its next possession with a rushing touchdown from Jamarian Pullum, pushing the lead to 14-0 with 8:08 left in the first quarter.

The Wildcats’ troubles deepened when they fumbled, and CJ Gardner recovered the ball, giving Adairsville prime field position. The Tigers quickly added another score, stretching their lead to 28-0 by the end of the first quarter.

Woodland’s woes continued into the second quarter. Ethan Long connected with Pullum for a short passing touchdown, extending Adairsville’s lead to 35-0. The Tigers’ defense then contributed with a safety, tackling a Woodland player in the end zone to make it 37-0.

Adairsville closed the half with another highlight as Pullum broke free for a 37-yard rushing touchdown, pushing the score to 44-0 at halftime.

With a 30+ point lead entering the third quarter, the game shifted to a running clock, limiting action in the second half. Woodland managed to find the end zone twice in the fourth quarter, thanks to Isaiah Livsey, who capped the game with a 76-yard touchdown run, bringing the final score to 44-14.

The victory puts Adairsville at 2-1 for the season, while Woodland drops to 1-2 with two straight losses. Both teams will enjoy a bye next week before returning to action on September 20.
